English grammar has a reputation for being complicated. And in some ways it is — but not in the ways that matter most for beginners. The truth is: beginners don't need all of English grammar. They need a specific subset of it — the structures that allow them to communicate in present, past, and future time; to ask and answer questions; to describe things accurately; and to express basic wants, needs, and opinions. Everything else can wait.
